Review: Heart bones By Colleen Hoover

Synopsis:

Beyah Grim was raised by her parents to have life and a grim name. Beyah Grim is now well on her path to greater and better things.

Beyah is separated from her future and her past in just two months. An unexpected death leaves her with no place to go. Beyah is forced to use her last resort and spend her summer on a Texas island with a father she doesn’t know. Beyah plans to relax and let the summer flow smoothly. But Samson, her new neighbor puts a halt to that plan.

Samson and Beyah are not related on the surface.

It is a result of a life of neglect and poverty; it comes from a wealthy, privileged family. They share one thing in common: they both love sad things. They are drawn to one another, which is why they are attracted. Beyah and Samson feel a strong connection that is too immediate to ignore. They agree to join the summer adventure at the shallow end. Beyah is unaware that a ripcurrent is coming and will sweep him out to sea.

About “Heart Bones”

Colleen Hoover’s latest book, Heart Bones, is out now. It has been a huge success as you would expect.

Beyah is a poor little girl living with her drug-addicted mother and an alcoholic father in a Kentucky “house”. She has lived with her mother since she was a child. However, she also had to learn how to live with the little she had. He is driven by his fighting spirit to make his mother proud. So he does everything possible to save her and to find a better future. He will be able flee the place in just two months and move to the future that he has been working hard to build.

Beyah is stuck between two rocks when her mother, the only person she knew, dies on her couch, with a needle in her arm.

Beyah isn’t sure what to do. If you don’t want to save, you have no money. He ends up living in the house of his father, who he doesn’t know and has no connection to. He soon realizes that his father has a life unlike his own. They have a beach house in Texas and a happy household. He doesn’t want to be noticed, despite all the comforts he enjoys with his family. It is enough to stay for at least two months, then move on to the destination you planned.

Samson, her neighbor and seemingly wealthy boy, turns her world upside down. He shares more similarities with her than she can see.

Both are drawn to the sad. It is because they are both traumatized by their pasts that causes them to feel an attraction. This creates a strong connection. Both plan to leave Texas once the summer ends. They decide to keep their feelings for one another in check and not get too attached to each other.

Beyah soon discovers that Samson isn’t what she expected. His secrets and mysterious aura make it impossible for her to leave him. Her heart starts to feel something new that it has never felt before.

“I am now blooming for the first times since I touched the soil of the earth.”

Now that you’re familiar with Heart Bones, I’ll tell you what my thoughts were.

First, Colleen Hoover is by far my favorite author. I don’t know why, but her books are special because of that unique quality. The same thing happened with Heart bones. A seemingly ordinary story becomes an intense, romantic plot full of emotions and romance.

Samson is quiet and shy, but he has a past that leaves him wanting to be unnoticed. I found him to be a sweet boy. You can also see the evolution of his personality and how he opens up to the girl he just met.

“What fills up the holes in a heart?” Samson’s eyes wandered my face for a few moments. “Pieces from someone else’s heart.”

Secondary characters like Beyah’s stepdaughter, his father and wife have also enjoyed me very much. Their personalities and roles were clearly defined.

Heart bones is a book that focuses on the past and love stories of the characters.

Heart Bones, as with many romance books, is written from Beyah’s perspective. This allows us to see his life at the beginning (when he was living in poverty), and how he feels about his new life, and the luxuries that people who have money enjoy.

Colleen Hoover’s ability to change the story and turn the tables in just one page is amazing. I was impressed by the end and understood all that was going on.

As I have said, Heart bones is a book filled with feelings. Colleen Hoover’s writing allows you to dive in and feel the emotions of the characters. The subtleties of Samson and Beyah’s relationship and the sweet, attentive boy throughout the book have been a delight. You fall in love with him at first sight, but you also know you won’t find him in your own life.

You can see that I am a big fan of junior romance and novelty. Heart Bones is my favorite book of this year. The book was so enjoyable that I read the last page every day and wanted more.

Heart bones was a new book, but it is a little harsh. It is not heavy, however. It was addictive, too.

It taught me how difficult life can be for those living in poverty, and how difficult it is to build a new future. It is amazing how fast people can make an impression about someone even though they don’t know him personally and how easy it to believe a lie just from appearances.

Heart bones is a great book for anyone looking for romance, drama, and feelings.

“Perhaps, it’s not necessary to know someone’s past to understand who they are now.”
